Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens on March 18, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey. Latifah was the second daughter of Lance Owens and Rita Owens is well-known for her acting and social-politics abilities as well as her talent for rhyme. When she was 8 years young her Muslim friend named her Latifah which means "delicate and sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah started singing in the Shiloh Baptist Choir located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first performance was when she sang "Home" in the role of Dorothy in the production of The Wizard of Oz at St. Anne's Parochial School. Her mother was a key influencer as she was always in contact with the children and music. She invited Mark James, a local disc jockey, also known as D.J. Mark the 45 King to perform at a dance school.
