Summer glau

Firefly, Whedon's new hit series, was a result of a one-off show. The character of Summer Glau, River Tam, was an intricate character Glau did her best to manage. In the role of Tam she was enticed into government-sponsored experiments that required her to be trained to be the ultimate assassin. Tam's ability to manage emotions was taken away from her. Glau's fighting skills were also demonstrated on Firefly. The training she received as an assassin gave her the chance to utilize every aspect of her athletic ability. Summer Glau, a trained classical ballerina. A broken toe was the end of her career as a dancer. Firefly only lasted just one season, however it gained a huge fan following. Whedon came back to it after a few years. While he was away, Summer Glau continued to receive some prestigious work. She appeared on shows such like Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
