Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered by many to be among the top gymnasts. She was the first female gymnast from America to ever win four gold medals during the same Games. In Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first female to have won successive World All-Around championships. Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They grew in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone first became interested in gymnastics while she was just 6. The coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went for an outing. Biles received a silver medal in vault, as well as a gold medal on the floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin playing in elite levels of gymnastics competition. She was the most dominant in her sport less than two year later. Biles was notable for her constant performance her enthusiasm and level of effort she introduced throughout each competition--vault bar, uneven bars as well as balance beams and ground exercise.
